Karina came to Smith and Elliott Real Estate in September 2017 with 15 years of management, HR and administration experience in both the Pharmacy and Physiotherapy industry, as well as running her own small business for 4 years. Karina is very passionate about providing exceptional service and has been developing her skill in the customer service industry since 1996. Karina is also Laddie, the office mascots fur Mumma.
Donna joined Smith + Elliott in 2004, starting as PA to Sally Elliott and since then has carried out a wide variety of roles within the company, including Rental Trust account clerk for the last 8 years. Donna moved into our BDM and New Leasing Agent role in early 2017. Donna loves the day to day challenges and diversity of working in the Real Estate environment as she gets to build relationships with new people and manage new situations. No two days are ever the same and she loves it!

I have a love of sales, a love of property and a love of our North Queensland life style. Being a Sales Consultant, well, it was a natural fit. My sales career started in 1988 after arriving in Australia from the UK having decided that teaching was not for me. I purchased my first property in 1993 and my first investment property I bought right here in Townsville, South Townsville in fact. Since then I have bought and sold properties in Townsville over the last 17 years which has given me an intimate knowledge of the local market.

Tina has worked in a range of industries including Retail, Hospitality, Beverage, Manufacturing, Legal and now the Real Estate Industry. Tina joined Smith + Elliott in 2008 and since then has carried out diverse roles within the company. Tina’s most recent role has been Sales Support Administrator. Tina’s strong work ethic and attention to detail is integral in this role which sees her dealing with our Sales team, Sally Elliott and external clients such as Solicitors and Conveyancers.
Named Rate my Agent’s Agent of the year for three consecutive years, 2018,2019 & 2020 Kara James is a seasoned negotiator who continually achieves record results. A process driven agent, she has vast experience selling property in a multitude of different markets. Since joining the industry in 2004, Kara has worked in various areas of real estate, including commercial sales and leasing and off the plan sales. Prior to that she spent a decade honing her customer service skills with Qantas. Kara loves that every day is different in her role, with the opportunity to meet new and interesting people. She still thrives on closing the deal, whether it is winning a listing or achieving a successful sale for a client. Kara has returned to the company she started her career with and has brought with her fresh ideas and long term knowledge of the local property market.
While Bree is new to the real estate industry, she has a passion for learning. Bree joined the team as a Property Manager Assistant and quickly showed her ability to learn all tasks put before her. Her friendly, positive attitude makes working alongside her rewarding. Bree then moved into the position as PA to the Principal, Sally Elliott. She is a very productive assistant to our amazing Principal and always has things done effectively and efficiently.
Kristy with her friendly and approachable attitude makes her the ‘go-to-girl’ for all things Property Management. Having close to 20 years experience in the industry with over 11 of those years at Smith and Elliot she is considered a valuable asset to the team. Her no nonsense yet fair approach proves to be effective with both landlords and tenants alike. Alongside raising her 4 young sons and running her husbands concreting business her other interests include, camping and spending time with her family & friends.
Samantha is an experienced member of Smith and Elliott Real estate who began as Property Manager on Magnetic Island in 2009 before taking a sabbatical to travel overseas. She was welcomed back to Smith and Elliott in late 2017 with over 7 years experience in Property Management. Samantha finds joy in attending to all landlord and tenants’ requirements, questions and helps wherever she can, whenever she can.
Kim joined the Smith and Elliott team in 2016 working efficiently in the Corporate Property Management department thanks to her past experience and history within Body Corporate. Kim now manages a large Residential Property Management portfolio and is forever growing her knowledge thanks to the number of rentals within her portfolio. She prides herself on providing service above expectation.
Sue Nolan came to Smith and Elliott Real Estate in early 2020 with an extensive background in Customer Service here and overseas. Her exposure to service industries such as Travel, Hospitality, Finance and Health ensures that she can confidently represent the needs of both the Tenant and the Owner to find a harmonious working balance.
Kellie is new to the real estate industry and joins the team with an extensive customer service background. She never fails to greet you with a smile and is always ready to assist you to the best of her ability. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude make working alongside her enjoyable. Kellie is always willing to help both tenants and landlords where she can, and to assist the property managers with all their needs and learn more each day.
A cheeky West Highland Terrier,”Westie”, Laddie makes everyone who meets him smile with his quirky antics and happy face. Welcomed to the team as a tiny puppy in December 2017, Laddie does an exceptional job at boosting team morale. However our four legged staff member is also the naughtiest co-worker and is often in disciplinary meetings with the Office Manager (his fur Mumma). Luckily he has Aunty Sally, the Principal, on his side to always let him off the hook.
